Battle Of The Bulge: Part 2

I am completely frustrated.

Tonight I weighed in at a whopping 155lbs.

Oooooohhhhhh Yikes!!!!

I'm mainly frustrated with myself, and my complete lack of self control.

"YooooooHooooooooo! Self - Control - where arrrrrrrrrrrre you?"

I'm eating everything that passes by me - hungry or not hungry. It usually happens after 8:00 pm at night when I'm on the couch.

So I'm setting some goals this week:
1) No eating past 8:00 pm unless I am LEGITIMATELY hungry. And if I do decide to eat after 8:00 pm, I will eat something good for me, like a banana or strawberries or yogurt. Ice cream, chocolate, and/or chips do not qualify as "good for me."

2) I am hitting up a bridal expo with my mom tomorrow night from 6-9 pm: The expo happens to fall during my usual gym time. To make up for it, I'm going to get up extra early tomorrow and hit the gym. I hate working out in the morning - but I'm going to do it.

3) I'm setting a realistic goal to lose 1lb for next weeks weigh in. Reasonable. Doable. Attainable.

One single pound.

4) If I reach these goals for next week, I get to buy a clothing item for myself. YAY!

I refuse to exceed 155lbs.

Some inspiration....last summer....thinner days.....

It's Official

I am slowly but surely morphing into a bride.

Friday night I spent an hour at the gym, working up a sweat on the Eliptical Trainer. That is a usual occurance for me. What was unusual about my workout Friday night was that I spent the entire hour watching "Say Yes To The Dress".

I never watch those types of shows - ESPECIALLY at the gym. I don't know what happened. I was hooked! Does she buy dress #1, the one that the maid of honor hates? Does she buy the dress that exposes her cleavage, or the dress that is slightly more traditional? Does she get the floor model of a $24,000 gown for $15,000 or does she have to pick out another dress? Ugh. Hideous. OOOHHHHH. Gorgeous. Too tight. Too white. Too not pretty enough. Too gaudy.....

Oh. My. God.

To top it off, I would have STAYED on the Eliptical Trainer even longer, but Brian and I had dinner plans and I had to get home.

Who am I?
So of course I went on The Knot to search out some ideas. This is what I've come up with so far:

Dress #1: I like this because it cinches the waist, and creates a svelte silhouette. I'm leaning more towards off-white/creamy colored dresses. This dress makes me think romantic.

Dress #2: This dress is very similar to the above dress - except it has a plunging V neckline. This dress makes me think romantic as well - with a vintage twist.

Dress #3: I'm not crazy about the color of this dress, but I like the style. I like the cinched waist, and the fullness of the skirt. This dress makes me think flirty, fun, and sassy.

Dress #4: This dress is pretty similar to Dress #1 and Dress #2. I love the plunging neckline, yet I'm not crazy about the sash.

Now that I think about it, each of these dresses are a variation of one another.

*SIGH*

Wedding stuff makes my head hurt.

Sparkle-Y!

Thank you to my readers that gave suggestions on how to take a closeup picture of the ring. Unfortunately, this is the best picture I could get!! Although it doesn't give the ring the props it deserves - it really is much prettier - at least you can get an idea of what it looks like.

Things have been bananas!! We're FINALLY feeling better and getting our energy back. We spent the entire Labor Day Weekend quarantined in the house. A word of advice - get your flu shots ASAP!!!

I also started classes this week - I am finishing up my graduate degree this fall and am anticipating to graduate in December - go me.

With being sick, doing classwork, working full time and picking up extra shifts at the shelter, wedding planning has been non-existent. We are planning on looking at my first pick this Saturday, so we're definitely on the right track - slowly, but surely.

So my question to you is: where does wedding planning begin? I haven't purchased any bridal magazines because I'm attempting to stay away from any unnecessary purchases - any extra money I have, I want to sink into the wedding. I've been all over theknot.com, which seems to have great information.

Advice?

Oink

I'm convinced I have swine flu. Or a really bad cold.

I prefer to say that I have swine flu; it sounds much more serious, thus resulting in a higher level of sympathy from loved ones.....except now, Brian has swine flu, so the only one in this house providing the sympathy is, well, no one.

I came down with my cold, er, I mean, swine flu on Monday. Brian got sick yesterday. I'm feeling much better, but now I'm dealing with a coughy, phlegmy, runny nosed boy who doesn't want to eat chicken soup, drink tea, or be propped up on dozens of pillows, but just wants to be left alone.

What fun is that? I'm trying to dote, but he doesn't want to be doted on. What's up with that? I love being doted on when I'm sick.

Boys are so weird.

Pics of the ring (I promise) when the pigs leave the building.

Oink.
